About Us

We are a non-profit volunteer-based program servicing Marathon, Manitouwadge and Pic River First Nation which assists police and other emergency services in providing immediate, short-term emotional supports to victims and their families.  Our agency provides service 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year.

  • Governed by a Volunteer Community Board of Directors
  • Incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization December 14, 2006 after several years of effort put forth by a Steering Committee made up of a cross section of community members
  • Service area encompasses Marathon, Manitouwadge and Pic River First Nation
  • Services are available free of charge to individuals 16 years of age and older
  • Voluntary service.  Third party referrals acceptable provided victim consent is obtained
  • Protocols established with other service agencies to ensure coordinated effort for victims of crime, tragedy and disaster within a timely manner
